On May 20, 2011, the team showed up to tear off the old roof and install the new one. Additionally, I was having the mushroom-button vents replaced with ridge vents. This required cutting a gap at the peak of the roof and patching the holes from the previous vents.
The crew was impressive, completing the work in a single day (albeit a long day). They cleaned up the area around the house and removed all the debris from the work site. Roofing is a messy job, but I thought the cleanup was outstanding.
The only issue was that we have a storage area which is open to the roof. In this area was a lot of electronic components. When cutting for the ridge vents, sawdust & wood (actually OSB) chips rained down on everything in the storage area, including the insides of some electronic gear.
